We thrive through a culture of reflection and continuous improvement.
We are working to:
As a forward-thinking school, we have designed and developed two internal provisions within our own setting to support pupils with SEND and we are developing the use of these and the impact of these for our children.
We are an outward looking school. We work with the Primary Knowledge Curriculum to develop our professional knowledge. Our Headteacher is undertaking a National Professional Qualification for Executive Headship, and our Deputy head is undertaking a National Professional Qualification for Special Educational Needs. We have developed a thorough professional development programme for all staff through weekly knowledge and reflection cafes which is driven by subject leaders and we have an ethos of self-development reaping strong impact among learners.
We work closely with advisors from Herts for Learning (HfL) around our English, Maths, SEND, Early Years and Assessment provision. As a school we moderate judgements of the school made by senior leaders and governors and we buy into a termly school’s effectiveness advisor.
